Emil Belluš (1899-1979) is one of the most distinctive personalities of Slovak architecture, reflecting the turbulent times of the two world wars. The work he left us is an image of modernism with progressive currents of development and conservative design. In 2019, we commemorated the 120th anniversary of the birth of architect and national artist Emil Belluš. The exhibition project connects the past with the present in the field of architectural learning, which was not and is not easy, the only thing that distinguishes it is the current mode of creation. It has changed considerably over the course of a century. Hand drawing and model making have been replaced by digital technology and software prefabrication. From the surviving technical drawings of a young student, which follow the classical way, we complete the model part. We confront the works with modern technologies, as not a single model from the period has survived. Through virtual reality, augmented reality and 3D printing, the exhibition can provide a more detailed representation of the works, an experience and raise awareness of the value of Slovak architectural heritage.
